As a Baptist Church we are autonomous in our connections and relationships to other groups. For the purposes of cooperative missions, our church maintains a connection with the Tugalo Baptist Association, the Georgia Baptist Convention, The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF).
Through these relationships our church is able to support local, state and national mission efforts, colleges, seminaries, children's homes, retirment homes, hunger relief, disaster relief, the work of thousands of missionaries in the U.S. and around the world, and many other ministires. We give about 12% of our budgeted receipts to these Baptist partners in ministry.
We also support numerous local mission partners such as the Franklin County Habitat for Humanity, HEART Ministries, the CCI Hispanic Congregation, the Helping Hands (local benevolence fund), the Lavonia Food Pantry and the Jail Ministry at the Franklin County Detention Center.
We additionally support a group of pastors in Mexico through Missions International; we take an offering (in September) for Gideons International, and we take 5th Sunday offerings to support designated mission concerns like the Helping Hands (local benevolence fund), Living Water International, Broad River FCA and Heifer International.
